Niklas Lindahl Leaves Role of LeoVegas Global Chief Marketing Officer
The Global Chief Marketing Officer at LeoVegas Group, Niklas Lindahl, has left his position with the gambling operator bringing to an end close to six years with the company.
Lindahl joined LeoVegas in April 2018 as managing director for Italy before progressing to head of MGA markets and then general manager for Europe and North America. He was appointed to his final role as global chief marketing officer in August 2021.
Before LeoVegas, Lindahl had spent time as head of international development at Gruppo DigiTouch as well as CEO of Optimized Group. Prior to that, he had worked as country manager for Italy at Just Search Italy and as key account manager for NetBooster Sweden.
The ‘Most Amazing Five Years’
Lindahl announced his departure in a LinkedIn post, in which he thanked the operator for his experiences with the company.
Thank you for the most amazing five years in my career; it has been a great ride. I will miss you all. LeoVegas is a one-of-a-kind company and having worked there has been a privilege. Gustaf Hagman (LeoVegas CEO), thank you for giving me the chance to enter the industry. Thank you for showing me what leadership is all about. You are a true example to us all. I will miss you.
A Busy Year Ahead for LeoVegas
LeoVegas has had a busy few months and there are no signs of things slowing down. Last August, the operator partnered with MGM Resorts International to launch the BetMGM brand in the UK, which followed the acquisition of LeoVegas by MGM Resorts in September 2022 for $604 million.
Then, last year, LeoVegas acquired a majority stake in games developer Push Gaming before it returned to the regulated market in the Netherlands with a new website offering casino, live casino and sports betting.
