Play’n GO, one of the leading casino games and technology providers, has announced that its hit slot Book of Dead has made its land-based debut.

Fans of the slot can now spin the reels of Book of Dead on fixed odds betting terminals in William Hill betting shops across the UK. The game is available in roughly 100 of the operator’s betting shops, and it is expected to become available in all of them in the coming weeks.

Play’n GO Produce New Framework

Play’n GO has developed a new framework that will allow it to roll out all of its slots to retail spaces. The company regularly releases new games, and there are now more than 300 titles in the portfolio, including games such as Battle Royal and Legion Gold. William Hill has more than 5,800 fixed odd betting terminals distributed across its 1450 UK venues.

This is a significant day in the history of our company and a testament to the hard work and expertise of everyone at Play’n GO. The convergence between the online and land-based gaming parts of our industry has been long overdue, and I’m excited to see the world’s most popular online slot game, Book of Dead, make its long-awaited land-based casino debut.
But this is only the start. There is a wealth of opportunities to bring the very best of iGaming to other land-based settings, especially in the fast-changing US marketplace. However, there won’t be an industry in the future if we don’t provide amazing entertainment in a fun and safe environment. William Hill believes just as strongly in this as we do, and I’m sure this land-based partnership will be a long and fruitful one.

Ian Millman, the UK Gaming Director at William Hill, explained that the company is always on the lookout for “opportunities to innovate,” and the new rollout is a “fantastic example of that”. He expressed confidence that players across the UK will enjoy playing the slot and added, “We can think of no better partner than Play’n GO, who share our passion for responsible gaming and entertainment, to drive innovation through the gaming industry together.”
