Playtech and NorthStar Join Forces for Canada Launch
Online gaming technology provider Playtech has signed a strategic agreement with NorthStar to make its suite of casino games and sports betting platform available to NorthStar Canadian players.
The new partnership will allow NorthStar to benefit from Playtech exclusive games and technology platform to deliver an excellent Canadian-focused online casino and sports betting experience for its members when it debuts. It will also allow Playtech to launch its IMS platform, casino, live casino, poker, and bingo technology in Ontario.

NorthStar Gaming was launched in Ontario as an online betting brand and sportsbook in March 2021. The company soon after partnered with Torstar Corporation, a local media giant operating in Canada since 1862.
In October, the Ontario government released final iGaming, sports, and event betting regulatory standards, thereby opening up the market for private competition and partnerships like the one NorthStar just signed with Playtech.
