Rank Interactive Welcomes Sam Allanson as New Chief Financial Officer
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:The Rank Group Plc, the company behind leading brands such as Grosvenor and Mecca, has announced that Sam Allanson has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Rank Interactive and will be reporting to the Rank Group’s CFO, Richard Harris.
Allanson brings a huge amount of experience to the role. He joined Entain in 2017, and after the merger between Ladbrokes and Coral, he was instrumental in designing value-adding financial initiatives for the group. Later, he became Commercial Finance Director at Ladbrokes, and he has also held important finance positions at Sky plc.
Several Changes to Rank Interactive Leadership Team
There have been a number of changes to Rank Interactive’s leadership team in recent times. Andrew Peat was recently appointed as Managing Director, taking over from Jon Martin, who was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
The company has been enjoying a period of significant growth, reporting a 16% year-on-year increase in digital revenue to £52.5 million in Q3 of the fiscal year ending 31 March. The growth is the result of strategic investments that were made in order to improve the customer experience.
Allanson Welcomed by Rank Group CFO
Rank Group CFO Richard Harris has welcomed Allanson’s appointment:

Allanson has also expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, saying that Rank Interactive is “one of the most exciting places to be right now” in the iGaming industry and that he looks forward to working towards fulfilling the plans that Rank has for its digital growth.
