Relax Gaming Announces Appointment of Martin Stålros as CEO
Relax Gaming, the iGaming aggregator and content supplier, has announced that it has appointed Martin Stålros to the position of CEO.
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Stålros has spent close to a decade working as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He is assuming the role following the departure of Simon Hammon, who held the position since 2022 having spent the prior three years as Chief Product Officer.
Hammon moved to Relax as CPO in 2018 after working at NetEnt for more than six years. While CEO of Relax, Hammon oversaw the development of the company’s Money Train series, which is widely acknowledged to be one of the industry’s most successful in recent years.
Relax also launched its Dream Drop progressive jackpot during Hammon’s time in charge, and it has since gone on to create 14 millionaires. He will remain with Relax until October in order to smooth the transition period.
An Experienced Set of Hands
Stålros held several senior positions in the gambling industry before moving to Relax at the start of 2015. He spent time as a business development manager and head of poker operations at Unibet, as well as more than two years with Ladbrokes eGaming, where he was a customer development manager for poker and a marketing executive.

Stålros to Work for Further Growth
Peter Osteraker, the Relax Chairman, drew attention to Stålros' experience in a statement commenting on the appointment and said that he was confident Stålros will help the company grow.

Speaking about his replacement, Hammon described Stålros as the “natural choice” to take over and added that his “extensive understanding of the company’s DNA, offering, and team, along with his passionate yet pragmatic approach, will enable him to successfully steer Relax to achieve all the goals set.”
