RubyPlay, the B2B iGaming studio, has been awarded a license by Romania’s gambling authority, Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), allowing it to supply its portfolio of games to operators in the market.

The developer is pursuing a strategy of international expansion, and as such, securing as many licenses as possible is key. Romania is an important market for RubyPlay, where it hopes to find success with its portfolio of slots, including titles such as Royal Griffin, Diamond Explosion 7s, and Shake Shake Money Tree.

The company has enjoyed strong growth in recent times and announced content deals with major operators such as LeoVegas and PokerStars.

We are really pleased to have secured this license to enter Romania and introduce players to the globally recognized RubyPlay experience. We firmly believe our games are a strong fit for the market, particularly as the top performing games in Romania feature jackpots and hold and respin mechanics, both of which are incorporated within many of our own titles.

Dr. Eyal Loz, the CPO of RubyPlay, said that receiving the license is an “important milestone”. He added, “We know our content is highly relevant to operators and players in the region, and I’m sure we will achieve strong brand recognition in the coming months.”
