The gathering puts Macau back at the centre of Asia’s casino, entertainment and hospitality conversation as operators look for new growth beyond traditional gaming floors.

The co-located events run from May 12 to 14 and are expected to attract 8,000 industry professionals from more than 90 countries and regions. The exhibition was previously announced earlier this year as part of Macau’s broader push to strengthen its integrated resort and gaming sector. Organisers said it covers more than 30,000 square metres, with over 150 brands presenting technology, entertainment and infrastructure products for the gaming and integrated resort sectors.

The event arrives as Asia’s integrated resort sector continues to attract investment attention. A 2025 Research and Markets report cited by organisers estimated the region’s integrated resort sector is on an annual growth trajectory of around 8%.

Yip Je Choong, Senior Vice President, Commercial, APAC, RX, said the region is entering a major period of change as operators broaden their tourism and entertainment offering.

“Asia’s integrated resorts sector is entering a pivotal phase of transformation, as markets across the region continue to evolve with a broader mix of tourism, entertainment and lifestyle experiences,” Yip said. “With G2E Asia and Asian IR Expo co-located, we are creating a platform that brings together stakeholders across the value chain to support innovation, collaboration and long-term, sustainable growth.”

Macau Event Draws Major Gaming Executives

The opening ceremony included senior figures from Macau’s government, gaming operators and international industry bodies. Attendees included Bill Miller, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association, Grant Chum, CEO and Executive Director of Sands China, Kenneth Feng, CEO and Executive Director of MGM China, and representatives from Galaxy Entertainment, Melco Resorts, Wynn Macau and SJM Resorts.

Government and regulatory figures were also present, including Che Weng Keong, President of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of the Macao SAR, Cheng Wai Tong of the Macao Government Tourism Office and Jackie Cheang, Acting Head of the Gaming Inspection Department at the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

Their attendance underlines the event’s position as one of Asia’s main meeting points for casino operators, suppliers, resort developers and policymakers. It also reflects Macau’s continued effort to position itself as a broader entertainment and tourism hub rather than a market defined only by casino gaming.

Digital Technology Leads the Conference Agenda

The three-day programme covers regulation, market expansion, hospitality, sports, entertainment and technology. Grant Chum is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote for the G2E Asia Conference and Asian IR Summit on May 12, with a focus on global industry trends across gaming and entertainment.

Mario Yau Kwan Ho, Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of NIP Group and co-owner of the Boston Celtics, is set to deliver a keynote on May 14. His session is expected to focus on global market shifts and the evolving integrated resort landscape.

Technology is a central theme across the agenda. Speakers from Google, Dataworks Group, Marina Bay Sands, MGM China, Hoiana Resort & Golf, Solaire and The Grand Ho Tram are among those scheduled to take part in conference sessions.

The event also includes Tech Talk sessions focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning and data-led decision making. Those themes are becoming more relevant for casino operators as resorts look to improve customer engagement, operational efficiency and revenue management across gaming and non-gaming divisions.

Integrated Resorts Look Beyond Casino Floors

The exhibition floor brings together more than 150 brands across gaming equipment, entertainment products, hospitality solutions and digital infrastructure. Organisers said the programme is designed to connect operators, suppliers and resort executives looking at the next stage of integrated resort development.

Networking sessions will focus on slots, table games and product innovation, including operator and supplier discussions on new cabinet design, gameplay development and future gaming ecosystems.

For Macau, the event carries wider business significance. The city remains one of the world’s most important casino markets, but operators are under increasing pressure to expand non-gaming attractions, improve visitor experiences and align with long-term tourism policy goals.

The conference continues through May 14, with industry attention likely to focus on how operators use digital tools, entertainment partnerships and resort investment to compete for regional tourism spending.
