Blueprint Gaming, the iGaming content developer, has been awarded a license by the Swedish Gambling Authority, the Spelinspektionen.

The license allows the developer to “manufacture, supply and install gaming software in the Swedish market”, ensuring that operators in the country can still offer their players Blueprint Gaming titles.

New laws introduced by the Swedish government in November 2022 state that any developer, or other B2B business, that wishes to provide operators with iGaming content must hold the new license. The laws are due to come into effect on 1 July 2023, and it is hoped that they will help direct players away from the black market to licensed operators.

Blueprint Gaming has a large presence across the Nordics, and a number of its games, such as Rise of Atlantis and Bison Rising Megaways, have proven particularly popular in the region. The license will ensure that it can continue to reach players in the region and continue to grow.

Sweden is an important territory for Blueprint, so we’re naturally delighted to ensure our continued commitment to supply games to this region. This new approval allows us to continue our growth and development of content that Swedish players will continue to enjoy and return to.
