Swedish Self-Exclusion Site Goes Live Again with New Features
The Swedish national gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has announced the relaunch of its Swedish self-exclusion site with a new design and improved features.
The revamped version of Spelpaus.se features a clearer design and an easily navigable interface. It also comes with a feature that users can use to extend their existing self-conclusion.
Spelinspektionen partnered with IT solutions firm Precio Fishbone to carry out the redesign and changes on the site. The regulator announced its plans to update the self-exclusion site in February and has since been working on the refresh.
However, besides the design and the ability to extend exclusions, most of the site’s features remain the same for players and operators.
The regulator stated that people already registered with Spelpaus would not see any significant changes, and operators will continue to check the self-exclusion register the same way they did before the changes. Currently, 75,000 people are registered with the self-exclusion platform.
If you play too much and for more money, than you can afford, it is important to be able to easily and quickly end that pattern and take a break from playing. Spelpaus.se does not solve a gambling addiction, but can mean that you have time to reflect on your gambling habits and the opportunity to change them for the better or choose not to play again.
