Switzerland and Bulgaria Welcome SYNOT Games to Respective Markets

Prominent online gambling software and content provider SYNOT Games has made its next major move in the industry, exemplifying its expansion ambitions by moving into the Swiss and Bulgarian markets, respectively.

After what can be considered a consolidation period over the last few years, in which SYNOT witnessed incremental growth, the Slovakian company has now continued to make impressive strides.

As such, this has seen them enter the swiftly growing Swiss and Bulgarian markets as it looks to continue on its recent upward trajectory.

It is believed that the Swiss market, in particular, has been earmarked as one where the company feels there is significant potential.

Switzerland’s gaming market has transformed over the last few decades, and we are excited that we can figure in this market by supplying more than 90 premium titles. Entering Switzerland is an important landmark in our plan to be certified in all of Europe’s regulated markets.

Having had online gambling legislation approved in early 2019, Switzerland is quickly emerging as one of Europe’s major growth markets in the online gambling industry, helped significantly by the recent global pandemic.

SYNOT, meanwhile, is well respected in the online gambling industry, having been a major provider of games to some of the biggest operators throughout a diverse array of markets.

The Swiss market presents a significant opportunity to become a lead developer in a country where there is considerable potential for growth. In addition to this, the vast portfolio of games that the company has in its repertoire means that there is a good chance to raise its awareness further.

Indeed, a company statement revealed that the provider has ‘powerful ambitions’ to become the biggest provider in Switzerland throughout the remainder of the year and with strong slot titles such as 81st Cabaret, Masters of Eclipse, and Aztec Jaguar in its repertoire and many others in development, there is every chance that this could happen.

Already with a firm presence in a number of countries around the world, SYNOT Games has offices in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Greek, Poland, Latvia, and Romania, plus Africa, and Asia, while also having entered the growing LATAM Central and South America markets.

Bulgaria an Added Coup for SYNOT

Having recently amended online gambling and the legislation surrounding it, following a review in early 2021, the Bulgarian market also promises to provide a significant amount of potential for the company.

Despite there being a presence of online gambling in the country since 2008, the last couple of years has seen an influx of operators enter the market, which has given rise to developers and content providers.

Indeed, Kodaj paid tribute to the potential of the market, stating: “When it comes to the Bulgarian market, it has great potential to become even bigger and be such a promising market. Bulgarian players can enjoy premium titles from our diverse portfolio…We are a leading gaming entertainment supplier, and we’ll certainly celebrate our presence in this new market.”

Certainly, encouraging words in terms of the impact that SYNOT could have on the Bulgarian market, especially as more titles are released over the next few months.

SYNOT to Become a Major Heavyweight?

There is no doubt that the software provider is growing ambitiously and already has a promising European hub in addition to presence on other continents. As such, it begs the question, could the company challenge the major players in the industry?

With the likes of Microgaming, Evolution, and Scientific Games, arguable three of the biggest developers in the industry, SYNOT will have designs on becoming just as big over the next few years, though it needs to get its strategy right.

Whether this means just focusing on one market or one service offering remains to be seen, though becoming a specialist will mean needing a laser-sharp focus. With the rapid and recent expansion into both Switzerland and Bulgaria, there is little doubt about whether SYNOT has all of the right components to flourish.
