Wind Creek Hospitality Celebrate the Start of Work on the South Suburban Casino

Wind Creek Hospitality and members of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians gathered in Chicago to celebrate the start of work on the South Suburban Casino, which is due to open in 2023.

The completed site will have a 252-room hotel, entertainment, dining venues, and a 70,000-square-foot casino. The casino floor will include 1,350 slot machines and 56 table games. Revenues from the casino will be shared with the State of Illinois and in the area surrounding the casino.

Wind Creek Hospitality is the gaming brand for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Wind Creek currently operates 10 gaming properties in regions including Alabama, Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and the Caribbean.

It is estimated that the project will create around 600 construction jobs and 800 permanent jobs related to the casino operation when the work is completed.
