Smoking Ban Debate

Rytterstom heads Borgata Hotel Casino at a time when the Atlantic City casino industry is embroiled in an ongoing argument about whether smoking should be permitted at casinos in the jurisdiction.

Casino workers are pushing for a smoking ban, citing concerns about exposure to harmful secondhand smoke, which poses risks to their health. On the other hand, Atlantic City casino operators are against the ban, fearing it could adversely affect their business.

The debate has also sparked conflicting discussions in the New Jersey legislature, leading to the introduction of bills and counter-bills on the topic.
