Casumo Names Cristina Turbatu as New Chief Technology Officer
Online gambling operator Casumo has announced the appointment of Cristina Turbatu as its new Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to joining Casumo, Turbatu was the CTO at BeyondPlay, a B2B start-up that develops engagement software for online gaming operators. She worked in this role for 19 months.
She has also served for over 5 years at Playtech, first as a Technical Lead before finishing as the Head of Innovation Lab and Marketplace in 2021.
In her new role, Turbatu will oversee and guide Casumo’s technology strategy and implementation. She will ensure that the company’s long-term technology strategy aligns with business goals and is up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the gambling industry.
I am truly looking forward to collaborating with the talented team here, getting to know each member and their exceptional work and leveraging my experience to drive innovation and contribute to the remarkable success of the company.
With the appointment of Turbatu, Casumo continues to make significant changes to its management team.
The company’s leadership restructuring started this year with the hiring of Francesco Postiglione as its Group Chief Executive.
Last month, Casumo welcomed former Rank Interactive executive Janice Duncan as its new Group Chief Financial Officer.
The technology team plays a crucial and pivotal role in the success of an online gambling company in several areas, including platform development, mobile compatibility, regulatory compliance, security and data protection, customer support, responsible gambling, and more.
This is why gambling operators heavily invest in building a strong and competent technology team. Having spent over a decade acquiring experience in the online gambling technology field, Casumo is confident that Turbatu is best suited for the role.
