Crown’s parent company, Blackstone, has committed to making several investments across Crown’s Australian portfolio with the aim of reducing reliance on gaming revenue and broadening its appeal. This change comes amid tighter regulatory scrutiny and economic pressures, including rising living costs and reduced discretionary spending.
In a recent interview, Crown Resorts CEO Ciarán Carruthers explained that they are focused on “ensuring Crown is seen as more than just a casino”. He spoke about how they offer a “full entertainment experience” that will appeal to a wide range of guests.
The redevelopment of The Palms is another step towards achieving that goal, and it will give visitors to the resort the chance to enjoy world-class entertainment as well as casino gambling.
