The scheme has been designed to accommodate players who require short-term, mid-term, and long-term self-exclusions in Cyprus jurisdiction.
Players can take advantage of a temporary suspension which ranges from 24 hours to three months. This can be used in conjunction with other responsible gambling tools available to customers, such as deposit limits and limits on game time. The long-term options for customers who feel they are most at risk of problem gambling and related harm include six months or indefinite self-exclusion.
The National Betting Authority indicated the new self-exclusion tool is part of a range of services that are offered to provide a safe environment for customers in the region.
Treatment centers for problem gamblers and mental health services collaborate with gaming regulatory organizations to point customers towards the raft of responsible gaming tools and to register on the Self Exclusion program.
