DigiPlus Interactive Approved for Brazil’s iGaming Market
Philippine-based DigiPlus Interactive Corp has secured its place in Brazil’s newly regulated iGaming market. The company has been granted a license to offer both online casino games and sports betting, making it one of the select operators authorized to enter the promising but complex market, which officially opened on January 1, 2025.
Drawing on Experience from the Philippines
Through its local subsidiary, DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltd, the company has become one of the 10% of applicants that has been granted permission to operate in the Brazilian market, which is expected to become one of the world’s largest gambling markets.
DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco has spoken of the company’s readiness to bring its expertise from platforms such as BingoPlus and ArenaPlus to Brazil.
We remain confident in our ability to align with Brazil’s regulatory requirements and introduce world-class gaming experiences to this dynamic market. This underscores our dedication to expanding into a new region while maintaining our focus on the Philippines as our core market.

Challenges Facing Brazil’s iGaming Market
While the launch of Brazil’s regulated iGaming market is an exciting milestone, it comes with significant challenges. The government has set two primary goals, safeguarding consumers through responsible gambling initiatives and eliminating black market operations.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s administration has made it clear that failure to achieve these objectives could result in a reversal of the current regulatory framework. Authorities have already begun cracking down on unlicensed operators by issuing a blacklist of illegal websites and a whitelist of approved companies like DigiPlus.
The newly regulated market aims to address concerns, including providing resources for problem gamblers, reducing illegal gambling activities, and boosting tax revenue to support the country’s budget.
