Encore Boston Harbor Player Wins $30,000 Jackpot with $5 Slot Bet

EVERETT, Mass.: A $5 slot-machine bet produced a $30,000 jackpot at Encore Boston Harbor on Aug. 8. The win adds another five-figure payout to a property that has reported several substantial jackpots over the past year.

The casino said the player was using a Triple Diamond slot machine when the winning combination appeared. The player was not identified in the information released about the payout.

Triple Diamond Bet Produces $30,000 Payout

The $30,000 prize came from a single $5 wager on the Triple Diamond machine. Encore Boston Harbor operates more than 2,700 slot machines alongside more than 175 table games at its Everett casino.

No additional information was released about how long the player had been gambling before winning or whether the jackpot was linked to a progressive prize. The casino also did not identify the specific location of the machine on its gaming floor.

The win is considerably smaller than some of the property’s recent headline jackpots, but it continues a run of reported payouts at the Massachusetts casino. Encore said it distributed more than $46.3 million in jackpot prizes across its gaming floor during August 2025, which the property described as a monthly record.

Encore Has Reported Larger Recent Jackpots

One of the casino’s largest recent wins came in the early hours of New Year’s Day. An unnamed man from Quincy won a progressive jackpot worth $1,620,335.70 while playing Royal 9 Baccarat.

The progressive prize had approached $1.6 million during December before continuing to rise into January. The eventual payout was more than 50 times the value of the $30,000 slot jackpot reported this month.

Encore Boston Harbor has operated in Everett since 2019 and is one of Massachusetts’ three commercial casino properties. Its gaming floor combines slot machines with table games, including baccarat, blackjack and roulette.

Latest Win Comes During Busy Jackpot Period

The Aug. 8 winner received a payout equal to 6,000 times the size of the $5 wager. The casino did not disclose whether the player chose to remain anonymous or whether additional details about the payout would be released.

The latest win does not represent a property record and is not tied to any regulatory or operational change at Encore Boston Harbor. It is instead a standalone casino payout, following the much larger progressive jackpot reported at the property at the start of the year.
