Sacramento Casino Reports Three Major Holiday Weekend Jackpots

LINCOLN, Calif.: Three Thunder Valley Casino Resort players won six-figure slot jackpots over the Fourth of July weekend.

The wins gave the Sacramento-area casino a run of major holiday weekend payouts, including two jackpots from $5 bets.

The first jackpot came Thursday, July 2, when a player won $190,700 on a $50 bet on a Red Fortune slot machine. Thunder Valley Casino Resort said the win opened a holiday weekend that produced three six-figure payouts.

$5 Bets Lead to Major Wins

On Saturday, July 4, another player won $203,800 on a $5 bet on a Monopoly progressive slot machine. The following day, a third player won $217,463 on a $5 bet on a Buffalo Link slot machine.

The three wins totaled $611,963 across the holiday weekend. The two $5 wagers alone produced more than $421,000 in combined jackpots in less than a day.

Dawn Clayton, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort, said the back-to-back six-figure wins made the holiday weekend memorable for the property and its guests. She described two guests winning more than $421,000 combined in less than a day as extraordinary.

Thunder Valley Adds to Jackpot Run

The Fourth of July weekend wins add to a recent run of large payouts at the Lincoln casino. Earlier this year, an $880 bet led to a $381,000 jackpot at Thunder Valley Casino, giving the property another six-figure slot win to report.

Thunder Valley said it has paid out more than 251,000 jackpots over the past year. That averages nearly 700 jackpots per day, or roughly one jackpot every two minutes.

The casino is located at 1200 Athens Avenue in Lincoln, about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento. Thunder Valley Casino Resort has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games.

The latest payouts are not a regulatory or business development story, but they give the casino another player-focused jackpot item tied to a high-traffic holiday weekend.
