Florida Seeks Vendor to Run State Problem Gambling Program
As talk of legalizing more forms of gambling in Florida grows, the state looking to expand its responsible gambling resources and provide players with more protections against gambling harms.

Sports betting is already available in the state through the Hard Rock Bet platform and now, the Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is looking for a responsible gambling vendor. The vendor would be responsible for providing the resources and services needed to assist individuals dealing with gambling addiction and also focusing on preventive measures to avoid gambling-related harm before it occurs.
FGCC Committed to Providing a Safe Gambling Environment
The FGCC issued a statement in which it expressed its commitment to providing both Florida residents and visitors with legal gaming and sports betting in a safe environment. The aim is to offer support systems that prevent dangerous gambling habits and curb the development of unhealthy relationships with gambling activities.
My fellow commissioners and I look forward to the results of this process and to providing progressive resources and scalable services in Florida that will have a clear impact.
Once a responsible gambling vendor is selected, they will be tasked with creating an awareness campaign promoting responsible gambling, along with setting up a helpline and creating additional resources to protect consumers from gambling-related risks.
