The Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea revealed today that its much-anticipated foreigner-only casino, "Inspire Casino," is set to open its doors on Saturday morning. It marks the latest addition to the country's gaming ecosystem as Southeast Asia continues to focus more resources on gambling and sports betting.

A Big Boost For Tourism

The property, located in Incheon, just outside the capital city of Seoul, is one of several overseas gaming facilities being rolled out by Mohegan Gaming, a gambling arm of the US-based Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. The casino license was granted by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism last month.

The Inspire Casino boasts a diverse gaming experience with over 10 table game variants, cutting-edge electronic table gaming (ETG) areas, and an array of slot machines featuring the latest games. The property, which gained a five-star hotel rating from the Korea Tourism Association in January, marked a crucial milestone for its gaming operations.

Spread across two floors, the casino offers an extensive gaming floor that offers 150 gaming tables and more than 370 slot machines. It also has a 160-seat ETG stadium, as detailed on the resort's official website. The second floor of Mohegan Inspire is home to the main casino area, featuring two high-limit zones with premium fit-outs and elevated offerings, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

For those seeking an exclusive and intimate gaming ambiance, the VIP area is situated on the third floor, providing private salons for a personalized gaming experience. The strategic location near the Incheon International Airport adds convenience for international visitors seeking entertainment and gaming options.

A New Era of South Korea Gaming

Mohegan Inspire has been gradually unveiling its offerings, starting with the opening of non-gaming facilities at the end of November. This initial phase includes almost 1,300 hotel rooms and 10 restaurants. Plans also call for a 15,000-seat arena.

The integrated resort welcomed the Michael Jordan's Steak House in December. Billed as the first of its kind outside the US, the restaurant is expected to further enhance the resort's diverse culinary offerings.

The opening of the foreigner-only casino marks a significant milestone for Mohegan Inspire, solidifying its position as a premier entertainment destination in South Korea. With world-class gaming facilities and a range of non-gaming amenities, the resort is poised to attract a diverse international audience seeking a luxurious and exciting experience on the Korean Peninsula.
