Pragmatic Play, a leading iGaming content developer, is transporting players to an ancient battlefield for their chance to win the spoils of war in its latest slot release, Shield of Sparta.
It is a 5-reel slot with 3 rows and 20 paylines. The reels are set in-between ornate pillars and in the background is a stormy looking sea. On the reels are thematic symbols such as soldiers, ships, catapults, and chariots. There is also a soldier wild symbol that will substitute for all of the regular symbols to help and complete winning combinations.
There are two versions of the scatter symbol, the regular and the magnetic. Landing three or more of either will trigger the free spins feature. If just two scatters land, then they are held in place for a free respin to try to trigger the feature.
During the feature, the positions where the scatter symbols landed are marked with a frame. Landing an additional scatter in that position upgrades the frame. Magnetic bonus symbols will attract regular scatter symbols to the frame if they land on the same reel and at the end of the free spins, all of the marked positions will display multipliers of up to x20. The multipliers are then added together and the final number is applied to the total winnings from the free spins round. Furthermore, the free spins can be retriggered.
