MGM Resorts Foundation Allocates Millions in Community Grants
MGM Resorts Foundation has assigned over $2.7 million in grants to 107 nonprofit organizations in various locations where MGM Resorts conducts its operations.
Regions benefitting from these contributions include Southern Nevada, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Northeast Ohio, the DC Metropolitan area, and Western Massachusetts. The organizations receiving support from the Foundation’s Community Grant Fund serve a wide array of needs such as affordable housing, K-12 education, family aid, health care, senior services, and veteran assistance.
Employee Involvement and Foundation’s Impact
Employees play a central role in the MGM Resorts Foundation’s philanthropic initiatives. They are consistent contributors to the Community Grant Fund, and Community Grant Councils oversee the distribution of these grants. Composed of employee volunteers, these committees are responsible for representing their respective regions and selecting the nonprofit beneficiaries of the fund.
Since its inception in 2002, the MGM Resorts Foundation has acted as a channel for MGM Resorts employees to contribute to charitable causes. The Foundation has collectively raised over $100 million and provided support to more than 1,500 charitable organisations. In addition to employees, guests staying at MGM Resorts are invited to donate to this foundation affiliated with the iGaming Industry.
