Cardell is an industry veteran with over 17 years working in the business technology sector. Before his new role, he worked at global payments and fintech company Fiserv for 11 years and most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Next Gen solutions.

In this position, Cardell led the development of cutting-edge cloud transformation solutions for major financial institutions and fintech companies. He also oversaw the modernization of outdated enterprise account processing software solutions.

He also had a five-year tenure at Hewlett-Packard, where he spearheaded business development and marketing initiatives.

In his new role, Cardell will oversee Scientific Games' lottery system business, focusing on revenue growth, product expansion, and responsible profit improvement. He will also be responsible for cultivating and strengthening existing customer relationships, executing product and business development strategies, and driving incremental revenue.

With a keen understanding of developing strategies for sustainable growth, Mike will be instrumental in growing our systems business and ensuring innovation and operational excellence in our existing system operations. Scientific Games Restructures Legal & Public Policy Teams

In March, Scientific Games announced a merging of its legal and public policy teams to form a new department, Global Legal and Public Policy. The supplier subsequently appointed James D Schultz as the EVP of the team.

Phil Bauer, the company's General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and Christine Wechsler, SVP of Legislation and Litigation, will join him in management.

Recently, Scientific Games signed a partnership with WestLotto to introduce new technology through terminals to lottery retailers in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

According to both parties, the new terminals will represent a technological leap forward in the interaction between players and terminals.
