The Mohegan Tribe has rolled out new information regarding its newly-launched Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea.

According to the operator, the venue will have a soft launch on November 30 which will see it open its doors to visitors to access specific facilities, including its three towers and more than 10 dining options.

Guests will also be able to experience its unique multi-purpose arena, the first of its kind in Korea, as well as the "Aurora" digital entertainment street and "Splash Bay," a glass-domed indoor water park.

Located at Incheon International Airport, Mohegan Inspire will have more opening phases over the months leading to its full operational status by the first half of 2024.

After this first phase, the resort plans to unveil the "Inspire Mall" and a casino exclusively for foreigners in the first quarter of 2024. Subsequent amenities, such as the outdoor entertainment venue "Discovery Park," a food court, and an exhibition center, are scheduled to open in the second quarter.

We are honored to work closely with the Korean government to make this day possible. We look forward to Inspire contributing to the local and regional economies by creating local jobs, bringing visitors to enjoy the Incheon region and attracting new businesses both on and adjacent to the property.

Leadership Appointments

In September, the company appointed Chen Si as the President of Mohegan Inspire. Before his appointment, Si worked at Las Vegas Sands. He has been charged with the responsibility of managing the budget and business strategies for the $5bn integrated resort project.

The Mohegan Tribe also named Wade Howk as the Chief Operating Officer of the integrated resort. Howk was formerly employed at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati as Chief Financial Officer and Interim President.

I would like to express a sincere gratitude to the Korean government, municipalities, local communities and our team members for their support and collaboration on this project. As we grow with the community, we will establish ourselves as an ultimate entertainment destination that attracts visitors from around the world, filled with inspiration and innovation.

Mohegan's president and CEO, Ray Pineault, previously mentioned that the resort would derive "a significant portion" of its revenue from non-gaming sources. The casino will only be an added attraction for foreigners since Korean law restricts its citizens from gambling.
