Sportradar has been granted a supplier license by the North Carolina State Lottery Commission. The license, valid for five years, will allow Sportradar to offer its products and services in North Carolina. The company will also be able to supply its sports data to sports betting and gaming agencies in the market.

With the development, Sportradar now holds 56 licenses or equivalents in North America, spanning across several US states, territories, tribes, and Canada. By obtaining the new North Carolina supplier license, Sportradar further establishes itself as a trusted and compliant partner in the US online gambling market.

At the beginning of this week, Sportradar signed an agreement to become the official Betting and Technology Partner of the United Soccer League (USL). The company will collect, license, and distribute USL's betting and media data as well as provide live streaming of USL competitions for sports betting to its network of betting operators and media outlets.

Annual Integrity Report

Sportradar has also recently published its annual integrity report titled ‘Betting Corruption and Match-fixing in 2023’. According to the report, Sportradar identified 1,329 suspicious matches spanning 105 countries and 11 sports. This indicates a suspected manipulation rate of 0.21%, equating to one in 467 matches.

Football was the sport most affected by match-fixing in 2023, with 880 suspicious matches. By March 11, North Carolina will launch its online wagering market, becoming the 38th state to do so in the US.

Last month, the state approved eight operators to offer online sports betting in the jurisdiction when the market goes live. They include bet365, BetMGM, DraftKings, ESPN Bet, Fanatics Sportsbook, Underdog and FanDuel.

Caesars Sportsbook also secured a supplier license in collaboration with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. This week, the operator became the first sportsbook to accept online wagers in North Carolina at two casinos in the jurisdiction.
