NorthStar Registers for the Ontario iGaming Market

NorthStar Gaming Inc has become the latest online gaming operator registered to operate in the newly regulated Ontario market. The company received approval from the local regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

With its registration, NorthStar Gaming has surpassed one of the most important hurdles of launching its platform in the Canadian province. The operator will now work with AGCO and iGaming Ontario to fulfil other regulatory obligations before its betting site goes live.

In February, the firm announced that it would offer online casino and sportsbook services in Canada under the brand name NorthStar Bets. In the buildup to its Ontario registration, NorthStar signed a content distribution agreement with Playtech to offer the latter’s games to its Canadian players.

The company has also partnered with Rod Black as a host and ambassador for its casino and sportsbook platform. The deal will also see Black provide sports commentary and perform hosting duties across the operator’s social channels.

As a made-in-Ontario online gaming and sportsbook operator, we’re excited to be awarded our registration as we prepare to launch a locally relevant platform for Ontario gaming enthusiasts to experience. As a local operator, the opportunity for us to design, build and launch a platform for our home market is very special. We’re proud to call Ontario home and look forward to introducing our content-rich platform to consumers.
