Paysafe Appoints Alex Gersh to the Position of CFO

Paysafe, the alternative payment platform, has announced that Alex Gersh will be taking on the role of CFO at the company.

Gersh will start the position of CFO on October 3rd this year, replacing Izzy Dawood who is stepping down from the role. The board at Paysafe hopes that Gersh will help the company achieve its strategy of rapid growth in the coming years.

Gersh has 25 years of industry experience and joins Paysafe from Sportradar, where he led the company’s listing on the NASDAQ exchange.

Gersh has held CFO roles at previous companies including Paddy Power Betfair plc and NDS Group London. He has also served leadership stints at British Telecom and Motorola, during his career.

Paysafe has a highly diversified and relevant digital payments offering in the specialized industries it focuses on including gaming and entertainment. I have been fortunate to have worked for some of the biggest brands in these sectors and I very much look forward to bringing my knowledge and insights to my new role at Paysafe and being part of this ambitious company’s future growth story.
