Codere’s Leadership Restructuring

The appointment follows the recent addition of other new executives to Codere's senior team.

Last week, the company appointed Luis Villalba as its new Chief Financial Officer, replacing Óscar Fernández de Llano, who recently exited the firm due to personal reasons.

At the beginning of the month, Codere named Gonzaga Higuero as its new CEO to oversee the company's growth plans across its major operating markets.

In June, Former 888 executive Michal Elimelech was appointed as a new member of Codere's Board of Directors.

Codere Group has embarked on a management restructuring to enhance efficiency and position itself for sustainable growth in the evolving market landscape of the new post-pandemic period. In Q1 2023, the company posted a lower net loss and a 54.9% increase in gaming revenue.

The company also recorded year-on-year growth across all its operating markets in the first quarter.
