Tipico’s Responsible Gambling Efforts Recognized with iCAP Accreditation

Tipico, the global provider of sports betting technology and services, has received the National Council on Problem Gambling’s (NCPG) Internet Compliance Assessment Program accreditation (iCAP) in New Jersey and Ohio.

The accreditation is a testament to the company’s continual efforts in the field of player protection. It was introduced by the NCPG in order to promote safer gambling and it is a way that companies can be recognized for their hard work in reducing problem gambling.

Close Examination of Responsible Gambling Practices

When deciding if a company is worthy of iCAP accreditation, NCPG will look at a company’s promotions, payment methods, advertising, and self-exclusion schemes. An operator must prove that it has reliable governance, provide high-quality customer support, properly train their employees and make particular efforts in prevention and research of gambling harm.

Tipico has become the first US sportsbook to receive the accreditation, which was largely a result of its recently launched Fair Play Pledge. The Pledge promises clear communication of odds and promotions, easy-to-set betting limits, and round-the-clock customer support. The accreditation will remain valid until March 2026 and it has been achieved just ahead of National Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
