Yggdrasil Reveals New Mechanic in Florageddon! DuoMax Slot
Yggdrasil has announced the launch of its latest slot, Florageddon! DuoMax, and with it, the debut of a brand new Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM), DuoMax.
It is a 5-reel slot with 3 rows and 243 ways to win, and it is packed with features such as dropdown wins, bidirectional paylines, free spins, payout multipliers, and more, in addition to the new mechanic.
The dropdown win feature clears all winning symbols from the reels to allow more to fall from above. Not only does this create the possibility of further wins, but also, a wild is added to the reels with every dropdown win.
On either side of the reels, players will see a collection of multipliers that increases with every dropdown win. Wins that land left to right increase the left side, and the wins from right to left, the right side.
A meter that counts winning dropdowns is positioned above the reels. If four wins land on a single spin, then players receive a Special Reward in the form of a Multiplier Boost, Double Wild, Wild Stack, or an Extra Life.
Landing at least three Free Spins rounds triggers the bonus. During the round, the reel multipliers do not reset between spins, which can lead to huge winnings. Furthermore, players can gamble the free spins upon triggering them to try to win some more.
Yggdrasil has included two further features. The Golden Bet feature increases the stake in exchange for a better chance of triggering a Special Reward, while the free spins can be purchased using the Buy Bonus feature in jurisdictions where it is allowed.
