Bet365 Goes Live in Buenos After Securing Dual Licenses
United Kingdom-based online bookmaker bet365 has revived full dual BA licenses from the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC) and city regulator Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (LOTBA) to operate its sportsbook, and online gambling operations integrated capital city and provincial jurisdictions.
bet365 announced its plans to acquire the Buenos Aires licenses and launch in the jurisdiction in 2019. As required by the BA gambling authorities, the leading operator joined forces with a land-based operator headquartered in the region, Pasteko SA, before getting considered for licenses. Several other prominent operators also received licenses from local authorities in January 2022.
bet365 and its partners had to wait for two years for BA authorities to decide to launch a dual licensing system for both jurisdictions.
With approval obtained, bet365 can now launch its online gambling domain dedicated to the Buenos Aires market – www.bet365.bet.ar and accept bets from punters in the region.
The operator follows Betsson AB and Codere Online as international betting businesses launched in Buenos Aires this year.
We are delighted to announce the launch of a dedicated website for customers residing in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires and Provincia de Buenos Aires. In a region with such intense passion for sport, we are excited to provide an unrivaled sports betting experience, with a key focus on both localized and international markets.
bet365’s launch in Buenos Aires signifies its dedication to expanding in the South American market.
