Daron Dorsey Elected as New AGEM's Executive Director

U.S. gambling industry veteran Daron Dorsey has been elected as the new executive director of The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) and will be starting his tenure by March 1, 2022.

Up to his current position, Daron Dorsey has had a successful career in the gambling industry. His previous roles include working as the executive director of a leading gambling company, William Hill, and General Counsel for law firms, Snell & Wilmer LLP and Jolley Urga Wirth & Woodbury. He has also served as the senior vice president, general counsel, and group compliance officer of the biggest manufacturer and supplier of gaming machines, software, and related equipment, Ainsworth Game Technology.

Dorsey is not a new face to the AGEM as he has served in the association as its General Counsel and Officer since 2016 before becoming its president. Dorsey's rich history and positions in the gambling industry contributed to his current net worth running into millions of dollars.

According to the organization, Dorsey's experience and relationship with the AGEM also made him the perfect man for the job. When he steps into his new role in March 2022, Dorsey will be replacing Marcus Prater, who has served as AGEM Executive Director since 2008.

"Daron's broad knowledge base, diverse skill set, and experience will be tremendous assets as he assumes this new role," said AGEM President David Lucchese. "While we're sad to see Marcus step away, Daron's manufacturer background and familiarity with AGEM make him a perfect fit to step in."

Daron commenting on his new position, praised Prater for his contributions to the AGEM through its period of exponential membership growth. According to Dorsey, he hopes that AGEM "can further build on what it has already accomplished and continue to foster a business environment where its members prosper."
