Entain Welcomes Charlotte Emery as New Chief Marketing Officer

Emery joins Entain having spent the last year working in a similar role as a CMO for Independent Consulting and Coaching Services, a consultancy company.

Her most recent gambling industry experience was with William Hill, where she served in the positions of Global Marketing Director and Chief Brand Officer for five years after joining in 2018. While at the global gaming operator, Emery played a key role in the billion-dollar sale of William Hill to Caesars Entertainment, and the European operation to the 888 Group.

Appointment Part of Ongoing Strategic Review at Entain

The appointment of Charlotte Emery as CMO is part of a range of senior leadership changes that have occurred at Entain following a strategic review of the group operations worldwide. This has resulted in the gambling company deciding to focus on its core businesses. This has led to Entain considering selling Crystalbet.

In financial reports for 2023, the Entain group saw a rise in its net gaming revenue of 11%, however, it suffered net losses of more than £900 million., partly due to massive payments to the UK HMRC government for illegal operations in its Turkey operations. This has led to a group of investors preparing a legal compensation case against Entain, for financial losses.
