EveryMatrix Donate €50,000 to Save Romanian Forests

The iGaming software provider EveryMatrix have announced that they have made a major contribution to Foundation Conservation Carpathia towards their campaign to protect the Carpathian Mountains and create a wilderness reserve in Romania.

The sum donated by EveryMatrix amounts to €50,000, which will be spent on Foundation Conservation Carpathia’s quest to offer a solution to such an enormous problem which began in 2005 when Romania sold nationalized forests to private owners, which led to deforestation.

As a result, Romania has lost large areas of the Carpathian forests, which is having a severe impact on the ecosystem, with the worst to come over the next few years.

The Foundation Conservation Carpathia was founded in 2009 by a group of philanthropists whose sole aim is to return the Carpathian forests to the people of Romania in the form of a National Park.

Ebbe Groes, CEO of EveryMatrix, is passionate about the work of the FCC and had this to say about the donation, “The current situation in Romania saddens me because we’re rapidly losing the very ground and wilderness that nurtured us. My native Denmark has a European record low areas of undisturbed nature left. Let’s not repeat that mistake with the wonderful wilderness of Romania. The Carpathia European Wilderness Reserve’s ongoing battle is a step in the right direction which EveryMatrix is happy to support actively with financial funds and knowledge transfer.”
