Nuvei Gets Go-Ahead to Process New York Sports Bets Payments

Payment platform Nuvei Corporation has been awarded a license by the New York State Gaming Commission to process payments with recently approved digital sports betting operators in the state.

Mobile sports betting launched this month in New York with the commission licensing five operators - DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG), FanDuel, Caesars Sportsbook (NASDAQ: CZR), BetMGM, and Rush Street Interactive- to accept mobile sports bets in the state.

Although nine operators initially applied for licenses, the remaining four are expected to be operational after meeting regulatory approvals.

With the regulatory reform, New Yorkers can now access sportsbooks and make wagers on their preferred mobile devices, rather than being limited to land-based betting stores options.

Nuvei is a leading proven payment provider in the United States market. The company partners with several top online gaming operators in the US and all over the world.

Having been given the go-ahead by the NYS Gaming Commission, Nuvei will assist New York operators with its industry expertise and payment processing technology.

The company will provide a frictionless deposit experience for players in the jurisdiction through various banking options like cards, ACH, and digital wallets.
