Pragmatic Play Donation to Support Victims of Abuse

Online casino game developer Pragmatic Play is marking International Women’s Day with a €10,000 donation to SOAR, the Malta-based Survivors of Abuse with Resilience charity.

Pragmatic Play is one of several companies across the world marking the annual event, which is designed to further the cause of equality. The donation to SOAR is one of many charitable contributions the company has made in recent years.

The chosen charity, SOAR, provides individual sessions for women who have been abused as well as support groups, workshops, social clubs, advocacy, and outreach, together with several other essential services.

Prior to this donation, Pragmatic Play made a €28,000 donation to Puttinu Care on Christmas Eve, which helped fund the refurbishment of eight apartments that are used to provide cancer patients with housing while they undergo therapy.

International Women’s Day is a key date as we celebrate the women in both our personal and professional lives and look to assist those in need through both financial contributions and physical help. SOAR provides essential aid for women, and we are fierce advocates of the vital work they do, so we are immensely proud with our collaboration efforts and donation.

Nora Macelli, the CEO at SOAR, said that Pragmatic Play understands “how invaluable volunteers” are doing their best to support women in distress. She added, “By donating to such key causes it gives victims a chance to seek for new life and professional opportunities. This €10,000 donation will allow us to continue our hard work of providing those in need with the support and services they deserve as we look to assist those in strife.”
