SBC Awards Ceremony Takes Place in Barcelona
Last week some of the biggest names in the gambling industry gathered at the Palau National in Barcelona for the SBC Awards 2022.
Amongst the big winners was Betsson Group, which claimed the coveted Casino Operator of the Year title together with Best Affiliate Program of the Year and the Western European Operator of the Year award. bet365 was also recognized winning one of the more competitive awards of the night.
The SBC Awards ceremony was cohosted by the news and sports broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher together with the former Valencia, Lazio, Barcelona and Middlesbrough player Gaizka Mendieta. In total 45 awards were handed out to operators, affiliates, and suppliers in front of an audience of more than 800 people.
Some very fierce competitors and such a fun-filled ceremony! The Awards night is something I always look forward to as it reminds us that hard work pays off and teaches us to recognise the achievements of our peers. Congratulations to all the winners!
Other operators to receive awards include Coolbet (Northern European Operator of the Year), Kaizen Gaming (Southern European Operator of the Year), and Parimatch Ukraine (Eastern European Operator of the Year) while Betway Group won the eSports Operator of the Year award.
For the second year in a row, Raketech Group won the Affiliate Product Innovation of the Year award while Gambling.com took home the Casino Affiliate of the Year trophy. Better Collective was recognized with the Sports Affiliate of the Year award.
The Sportsbook Supplier of the Year award went to Sportradar Group while the Casino/Slots Developer of the Year award went to Relax Gaming. Other companies to be recognized include Pinnacle (Esports Supplier of the Year), OpenBet (Land-based Betting & Gaming Product), Evolution (Live Casino Supplier), and Playtech (Platform Provider of the Year).
Uplatform received the Rising Star in Sports Betting Innovation/Software award and PopOK Gaming won the Rising Star in Casino Innovation/Software award. IDnow won Fraud & Compliance Solution of the Year and OKTO won Mobile Payment Solution of the Year. It was also a good evening for Trustly with the company collecting Payment Innovation of the Year and Payment Solution of the Year.
Finally, both David Flynn of the Glitnor Group and Katerina Biloruska from Parimatch Foundation won the Leader of the Year award.
