Fanatics Betting and Gaming (FBG) has unveiled its Fanatics Sportsbook in Kansas, taking over PointsBet’s customer base in the state.

With the development, players in Kansas can now access and sign up on the Fanatics sportsbook app and start wagering on their favorite sports events.

Like other states where Fanatics had replaced PointsBet, existing PointsBet users in the Sunflower State can play on the Fanatics Sportsbook app with their existing username and password. Their account balances, reward points, and responsible gaming settings will seamlessly migrate to Fanatics.

In October 2023, Fanatics acquired PointsBet’s US operations for $225 million and has been gradually replacing the PointsBet brand in its operating jurisdictions. Fanatics is now live in a total of 17 states in the US.

It was one of the eight online sports betting operators that went live in North Carolina when the state launched its online sports betting market on March 11. As part of the requirements for gaining market access into the Tar Heel State, Fanatics signed a long-term agreement with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes to become the team’s official sports betting partner.

Fanatics has also recently launched in Indiana and New York. This month, the operator also obtained an event wagering license from the Arizona Department of Gaming, allowing it to launch in the state.

Kansas Sports Betting Figures

Fanatics enters Kansas following an impressive month of wagering for the state. In February, Kansas posted a sports betting handle of $203 million, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year.

From the handle, operators in the state generated a revenue of $3.1m, which rose substantially from the $35,916 recorded in February 2023. DraftKings, which partners with Boot Hill Casino, led the market with a revenue of $1.9m off a $87.6m handle. The state collected $305,494 in tax during the month.

Fanatics Opens New Retail Sportsbook

Apart from its online wagering efforts, Fanatics is also broadening its presence in retail. This week, the operator launched a new retail sportsbook at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The new 2,300-square-foot establishment at Total Mortgage Arena is fitted with betting counters, Suzohapp-powered self-service betting kiosks, HD televisions, and a full-service restaurant. This marks the tenth retail sportsbook unveiled by Fanatics in the United States.
