GiG Appoint Matthew Saxon as New Chief Technology Officer
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), the iGaming technology and solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Matthew Saxon to fill the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Platform & Sportsbook division.
Saxon is a veteran in the iGaming industry with more than 3 decades of relevant experience and held senior leadership positions at Sportradar and PWC. During his 30 years at these companies, Saxon has a track record of successfully delivering innovative technology platforms and has an in depth knowledge of financial sectors.
This latest appointment is part of a raft of changes made by GiG to its senior leadership team, as Richard Carter, the CEO of Platform and Sportsbook, wants to bolster his team as the company tries to achieve rapid growth globally.

Strategy for iGaming Platform to Become Market Leader
GiG announced strong Q2 revenue and has achieved great success and recognition this year with industry awards, including being named ‘Full-service platform’ and ‘Multi-channel supplier’ at the EGR global B2B awards for 2023. The technology provider hopes to build on this momentum and sees Saxon as a key part of the company’s objective to increase its suite of products and follow a strategy of global expansion.
Saxon has been tasked with leading the technology for the GiG Platform & Sportsbook service. He will oversee the AI platform, which is being developed to improve player retention.
Matt’s appointment is a significant step towards helping us reach the high bar we have set for the business. We are continuing a process of bringing together the strongest leadership in sports betting and iGaming and I am confident that his arrival will help further fuel our strategic plans, establishing us as a leader in technological advancement and commerciality across the igaming industry.
