Just One Month to Go until SPiCE Philippines
The first edition of the Strategic Platform for iGaming Conference & Exhibition (SPiCE) Philippines is rapidly approaching. It is due to take place in Cebu, the Philippines, from 26 to 28 October 2022.
Eventus International is organizing the iGaming Event, which is shaping up to be the largest gaming and betting conference in the Southeast Asian region. It is set to attract a huge number of global providers, giving them the chance to discover new opportunities in the region while showcasing their latest products, innovations and technologies on the exhibition floor.
The Philippines iGaming industry has been thriving in recent times and it is expected to exceed its pre-pandemic position by 2026. Not only is the region home to a huge potential player market, but operators are known for being at the forefront of the latest trends and innovations. The Philippines is rapidly becoming known as a high growth market that offers an excellent return on investment. For instance, in 2019, there was a record-high $4.60 billion in Southeast Asian GGR.
The licensing and regulatory group chief of state-run regulator Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp, Daniel Cecilio, has said that land-based casinos contribute $2.5 million to the market and that revenues are expected to grow, just as they are in gaming hubs such as Macao and Singapore.
The Philippines has attracted a great deal of investment from both domestic and foreign companies in casino-resorts, which also help to provide jobs to the local economy. There are 51 land casinos in the Philippines that attract high rollers from across Southeast Asia. As such, Eventus International’s upcoming SPiCE Philippines can potentially open up numerous opportunities for industry stakeholders.
