The flag of Tennessee. The state’s regulator has successfully forced Sportzino out of its gaming market.

Sportzino, launched by Blazesoft in 2023, combines free-to-play sports predictions with casino-style games. The platform had been available in various U.S. markets, allowing users to make picks on major sports events and play over 1,000 games resembling slots and other casino titles.

Offering sports wagering in Tennessee is a taxable privilege, and we’re exploring every tool available to us as regulators in our effort to shut down illegal sportsbooks. Licensed sportsbooks offer critical consumer protections that unlicensed operators do not, and we will continue to work with our law enforcement partners in this effort.

The council aims to collaborate more with the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office to collect fines and enforce judgments against non-compliant operators. This could involve seizing assets if needed, ensuring that only licensed companies operate and pay taxes in the state.

Blazesoft Legal Challenges

Blazesoft runs several social gaming brands, including Fortune Coins, Zula Casino, and the recently launched Yay Casino. Sportzino, while being a free-to-play site with esports and sports predictions, regulators viewed its sweepstakes model as crossing into illegal gambling territory.

The company has also faced scrutiny elsewhere. In April 2025, a class-action lawsuit in New York accused Blazesoft of illegally providing real-money online casino games through a dual-currency system, even though it claimed to be free-to-play. Such models often let users buy virtual currency that can lead to cash prizes, blurring the line between social gaming and betting.
