While there is an obvious air of excitement in Vegas, the build-up to the Grand Prix has not been without controversy. In July, F1 organizers reportedly told restaurants and other venues in the area that they would block views from the Strip if fees weren’t paid. More than 300,000 visitors are expected to come to see the race and there is sure to be competition for the best viewpoints.
