Yggdrasil Names Mark McGinley CGO to Lead Gaming Division
Yggdrasil, the global game developer and iGaming solutions provider, has named Mark McGinley as the new Chief Gaming Officer as the company looks to restructure its Gaming division.
McGinley has over two decades in the gaming industry and joins Yggdrasil from FunFair Games, where he served as the CEO.
Before working at FunFair Games, McGinley had spells at Entain as Director of Games Studio and as Program Director at RNG Foundry, where he boasts a record of overseeing studios that produce innovative and high-quality gaming content. Also, McGinley held senior leadership roles at the Game Studios at Casumo and Odobo.
I’m absolutely delighted to be joining such an ambitious and forward-thinking business as Yggdrasil. I see huge potential ahead of us, and I'm very confident we can move the business forward to compete at the highest level in the iGaming space. I'm truly excited about my new position and to be part of the exciting growth journey Yggdrasil embarked on 10 years ago.
McGinley is joining the senior management team at Yggdrasil as the company is going through a restructuring process. The Product & Programs and Studio divisions are being brought together to form a new Gaming division that will be led by McGinley.
The benefits of creating a combined Gaming division are increased transparency between processes and, hopefully, making the division more streamlined. Another advantage is that the company will be more agile and enjoy shared knowledge within the Gaming division.
It is perfect timing for Mark to join and head up our new Gaming unit at Yggdrasil, which will further strengthen our existing innovative and premium Global Roadmap Developments, as well as expand on the strategic product differentiation in tight collaboration with major industry operator partners. I welcome Mark to Yggdrasil and to our Senior Management team, and very much look forward to working together to take our global growth ambitions to the next level.
