Jungle Jim El Dorado is a slot from Microgaming that was released in September 2016. The game takes players deep into the jungles of South America with the explorer Jungle Jim on a search for treasure in the legendary city of El Dorado.

To help players win big, the slot features rolling reels complete with increasing multipliers and a rewarding free spins round with even bigger payout multipliers. Read on to learn all about this exciting game.

Features for an Exciting Gameplay

Jungle Jim El Dorado is a 5-reel slot with 3 rows and 25 fixed paylines. Payouts are won by landing enough matching symbols from left to right along a payline starting from the leftmost reel. As mentioned, the game features rolling reels, which means that every time a winning combination lands on the reels, the symbols in the combination will disappear to allow more to fall from above.

Hopefully, this will form another win, and the process will repeat itself, giving players the chance to land multiple wins from a single spin. The slot has a number of additional bonus features, and these are explained below.

Lively Graphics and Animations

The reels are transparent and set deep in the jungle. Behind them, you can see the steamy jungle foliage while Jungle Jim himself stands to the left of the reels on some ruins watching the action. Jim is animated, helping to bring the theme to life and occasionally you will see him swatting away a fly, giving you a thumbs-up of encouragement, checking his watch, leaning on his spade, and so on.

All of the slot’s symbols are themed, and they include a treasure chest, a totem pole, an Aztec mask, a blue serpent, and gems colored red, orange, green and blue. The gameplay is accompanied by some enjoyable sound effects, and these also help to bring the theme to life. Thanks to all of this, it is a highly immersive and enjoyable game to play that truly draws you into the action.

How to Play Jungle Jim El Dorado Slot

As the paylines in this slot are fixed, there is not much to do before spinning the reels. You simply need to set your bet for the spin. There are two components to this, you first need to set your coin size, from 0.01 up to 0.10, and then you need to set how many coins you are betting per payline, from 1 to 10. This gives the slot a betting range of €0.25 up to €25. When you are happy with the bet, all you need to do is click on the spin button to set the reels in motion. The slot has very few additional controls, in the settings menu you can turn the sounds on or off, and there is also a ‘Max Bet’ button. Unfortunately, the slot does not have any Autoplay functionality.

While you are playing Jungle Jim El Dorado, you need to keep an eye out for the scatter symbols. If you land three of them anywhere on the reels, then you will trigger the slot’s main bonus feature, the free spins. Essentially this is all you need to do other than clicking on spin; you can just enjoy watching the action and hopefully land some big wins at the same time.

Jungle Jim El Dorado Slot’s Bonus Features

As explained above, the game features rolling reels. The first win you land from a spin has a 1x payout multiplier; however, each subsequent consecutive win will increase the multiplier by 1x up to a maximum of 5x. This means the second win has a 2x multiplier, the third a 3x multiplier, and so on.

If you land three of the circular scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, then the free spins begin. You win ten free spins that feature rolling reels. However, during the free spins, the payout multipliers are far bigger. It starts at 3x, then increases to 6x, 9x, 12x and finally 15x. This can result in some huge payouts, and better yet, the free spins can be retriggered indefinitely.

Playing Tips and Strategy

As the slot has fixed paylines, there is not much that you can do in terms of strategy when spinning the reels. However, it is a high volatility slot, which means that to win, you will probably have to spin the reels many times. This means that it is important that you set a bet per spin that you can afford to repeat many times. This way, you will not use your entire bankroll on a few spins without winnings, and you will be able to keep enjoying the game for longer.
