DraftKings Prepares for Bay Mills Resort Sportsbook Launch
DraftKings has announced its plans to open a temporary retail sportsbook at Bay Mills Resorts & Casino in Brimley, Michigan.
The temporary retail sportsbook is scheduled to open on the 22nd of June 2022, with several exclusive features like over-the-counter sports betting ticket café and six self-service kiosks designed in line with the theme of the DraftKings mobile sportsbook app.
According to the company, the sportsbook will “give fans a taste” of a physical and in-person sports betting experience. The retail sportsbook will launch permanently by the autumn of 2022 and will offer customers more expanded amenities like the installation of a large video wall and odds board.
When the retail sportsbook launches, it will be celebrated by the operator and Bay skills Resort & Casino with a grand opening.
Recently, DraftKings added four new sports shows to its program schedule in partnership with Meadowlark. The four new shows will focus on several sporting games like F1, soccer, and college football. They will further boost the range and scope of the company’s content portfolio.
Earlier this year, the giant also planned to open a new sportsbook venue in the Foxwoods El San Juan Casino resort in Puerto Rico, operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. It has also begun the construction of a sportsbook area at Chicago Cubs stadium.
