Understanding the Basic Rules

At the heart of this switch blackjack game is a very simple variant. Standard Las Vegas Strip blackjack rules are applied, with a few changes added in to make it more interesting. The major difference is the fact that you have two hands that you can move the cards between if you choose to. This is an option that you don’t need to use, but it does give you an extra degree of flexibility when playing.

Split, double and insurance options are all offered, as appropriate. The split and double options are available only in certain circumstances. As normal, you can choose to either hit or stand when it is your turn. As for the dealer, they always need to hit on soft 17. The dealer will also take a peek at their face-down card if their other one is an ace or has a 10 value.

If the dealer gets a total of 22 then it is push and your stake is returned unless you have blackjack (you win) or your hand is bust (you lose). 10 card Charlie (10 cards without going bust) always wins unless the dealer has blackjack in their hand.

About the Side Bets and Special Features

The option of switching cards between your 2 hands is the most interesting feature of Blackjack Switch from Playtech. This can only be done before you hit for the first time on either hand. If you follow a good basic strategy then this option should increase your chances of winning.

The only side bet that you can choose here is called Super Match. This pays out if two or more of your first cards are of the same value. It pays out handsomely on some combinations. However, you could lose a number of times before winning this bet. Therefore, choosing to wager in this way increases the risk level and volatility.

Find Out about the Gameplay

If you have ever played blackjack before then you will find that it is easy to play Blackjack Switch. The first step is to choose your stake size, which starts at a minimum of $1 per hand (so £$2 in total) and goes up to $1,000. The Super Match side bet can be chosen with amounts of between $1 and $1,000.

You can also tailor the screen to suit your own preferences once you begin. This means changing the color of the table, turning the sound up or down, and making the game faster, among other settings that are available to you.

Can You Play a Demo Game?

Now that you have found out all about Blackjack Switch odds, rules, and features, you may like to start playing it. The simplest approach is to just give it a quick trial run using the easily accessible demo version of the game.

Details of the RTP and Payouts

This is one of the best online blackjack games in terms of the RTP. A healthy figure of 99.87% means that shouldn’t need to worry about your bankroll running out too quickly.

Having said that, if you choose the side bet then this will affect the RTP. You will win 40 to 1 with this option if you get 4 of a kind but there is also the chance that you play it a few times without winning.

Unlike in some blackjack games, this version pays you out 1 to 1 for a blackjack hand. The insurance option pays out at 2 to 1 if the dealer gets blackjack.

Strategy When Playing for Real Money

What is the best Blackjack Switch strategy when you play this game for real money stakes? The high RTP means that sticking to the basic game is a low-risk approach. If you want to add an extra degree of excitement and volatility then you could add in the side bet.

Can you make the ability to switch cards work to your advantage? This is a benefit if you know how to take advantage of it. To do this, you need to understand the relative strength of each different hand. So, a solid grounding in blackjack strategies is important if you are going to play well here.

More about the Provider and More Games

You will find many other games published online by Playtech. As one of the most prolific developers in the online casino industry, they have created a wide range of blackjack, roulette and slots titles for you to enjoy. If you want to play other blackjack games then you could try the likes of Blackjack Switch and Progressive Blackjack. When you want to see some slots then their selection includes Gladiator and “Age of the Gods”.
