They say that positive vibes evoke positive results. If this statement resonates with you, then there’s one game you have to check out. Blackjack Party, made by Evolution Gaming, is a truly unusual live casino table. Unlike the overly tranquil atmosphere of most game streams, this party version of the card game is always in high spirits.

This effect is achieved through refreshing background music and the fact that an entertainer is sitting next to the croupier at all times. Sounds interesting? Then stick around for our full Blackjack Party review and casino recommendations. That way, you’ll increase your chances of profiting while you enjoy the show.

Blackjack Party – Basic Rules and Features

Evolution Gaming's live card game utilizes a ruleset that’s quite similar to the Vegas Strip one. A total of eight 52-card decks are used to form the shoe, which is a bit on the high side. In Blackjack Party, the house draws till it reaches 16 and must stand on all 17s.

Splits are possible when your initial pair of cards are of equal value. You can ask for more cards on split hands, except when you’re dividing a pair of Aces. In such cases, only one extra card is dealt. Double downs are also in and can happen after your first pair has been dealt.

The table itself has seven slots for players. Betting limits vary depending on where you play, but most often, they are between €5-€1,000 or €0.50–€100. In other words, both hobby gamblers and high rollers are welcome.

Side Bets and Insurance

You’ll often find that this table’s seven seats are taken. So how can you play Blackjack Party? Your direct involvement won’t be possible before a slot frees up, but until then, you can bet behind other players. It’s easy to notice who to bet on, as lucky and skillful players have a medal next to their nicknames. You can even see how long their winning streak is, so make your choice and use the opportunity to chat with the others. Don’t forget that you can use bet behind while you’re playing to increase volatility.

As you might expect, insurance bets are available. However, we advise against them, as they reduce the optimal Blackjack Party RTP. Besides, the dealer will peek to check if their face-up card is an Ace or has a value of 10. Thus, you won’t run the risk of doubling down and losing more money in case of a natural from the side of the house.

In addition to the above two bets, you have a couple of side bets to supplement the main game. The first is called "Perfect Pairs." You can win one of three payouts if your first two cards form a mixed (same value, different colors), colored (same hue), or perfect (completely identical) pair.

The second one is "21+3," which takes the croupier’s face-up card and your first two to see if they form combinations like thee-of-a-kind, straight, flush, and so on. Again, these bets are a way to get better payouts in Blackjack Party, but in theory, your overall winning potential decreases.

How to Play Blackjack Party

Since there’s no demo version for live games, you have to fill your account wallet with some cash to get going. Afterward, head to the Evolution Gaming live lobby and find out where the party happens. Once you enter, you’ll likely need to wait for the next game round to begin. Take a spot on the table or stay on your toes while you wait for a free one during this period.

In Party Blackjack, you’ll see a bunch of playing chips appear in the middle of the screen between rounds. Select the desired value and put it on the circle above your name or where you wish to bet behind. The "Double down" and "Undo" buttons allow for quick adjustments before the cards are dealt.

Once the action commences, the rightmost player on the table gets a time window in which they can choose whether to hit, stand, split, or double down. Afterward, cards are dealt in a clockwise direction, and the process repeats until every seated user is finished making their move. In the final play of Blackjack Party, the dealer reveals their hand; those who won get paid, and a new round begins.

Useful Options and Controls

You might have noticed that while inside the game, each edge of the screen hosts at least a couple of icons and areas of interaction. The properties of some are quite obvious, but others have advantages that you might not think of immediately. Let’s review them quickly.

  • Table and Lobby – Located at the bottom right corner. The first prompts the split-screen mode to open. From there, you can choose another game and play both of them at the same time. The second will show you the Evolution lobby without the need to exit Blackjack Party.
  • Audio and camera options – Adjust your volume and interface with these two icons. You can find them at the top right.
  • Full-screen mode – Fully immerse yourself in the action by going borderless. Look for a button that looks like an iron cross at the upper-right edge of the screen.

RTP, Payouts and Odds of Blackjack Party

The theoretical Blackjack Party RTP stands at 99.28% for the base game, which is slightly lower than the 99.59% that has become standard. This marginal difference comes from the fact that more card decks are used to make up the shoe. Otherwise, you get a 1:1 payout for a standard win, 3:2 for a natural, and 2:1 cover for insurance.

As you might expect, side bets are a bit less rewarding. "Perfect Pairs" is the option that offers the least return of 95.90%. "21+3" fares a bit better with 96.30%. Still, in the grand scheme of things, Blackjack Party side bets are higher in RTP than those of some slots and table games. Feel free to try your luck if you’re ahead and you feel like it.

The Optimal Strategy for the Card Games

While Party Blackjack is undoubtedly a game of chance, it's important to remember that skill plays a significant role in your overall success. Merely relying on luck and making random decisions won't lead you to achieve the fabled RTP rate in this exciting game.

Fortunately, there's a proven system called "basic strategy" that can enhance your gameplay by guiding you toward the optimal move in each scenario, all based on sound mathematical principles.

However, don’t forget that with small betting amounts, you can prolong your gaming sessions and bet only money you can afford to lose. Responsible gambling should be rule number one in every casino game you indulge.

Where to Play This and Other Premium Casino Games

Evolution Gaming has plenty of other intriguing blackjack games in its live collection. Their ambiance is notably less hyped than that of the party version, but they shake things up in other ways. Two streams we highly recommend are "Free Bet Blackjack" and its "Infinite Blackjack" counterpart.

As opposed to Blackjack Party, you won’t have to wait for a seat with these two. Players bet with a single, shared hand, but they decide what moves to make. Also, in the former, a 22 from the house will result in a push, but you can split and double down for free. The latter features a plethora of interesting side bets.

This excellence is available at many of the top online casinos. 888Casino is one operator we strongly encourage you to try, as you get an €88 no-deposit bonus with which you can test the waters with no financial risk. PlayOJO, Royal Panda, and Casumo are other solid choices. For more blackjack games, see our recommendations below.
