FanDuel Enters Kansas with Mobile and Retail Sportsbook Offers

US iGaming and sports betting market leader FanDuel has launched its official sportsbook application and retail sports betting with Boyd Gaming in Kansas.

As a result, bettors in Kansas can now download FanDuel’s official app on their devices and access the various sports betting offerings of the operator.

FanDuel has also unveiled a temporary retail sportsbook with Boyd Gaming at the Kansas Star Casino. The retail sportsbook will have several features, including four betting windows, 28 HD televisions, and 20 self-service betting kiosks.

The sportsbook venue is scheduled to open permanently on 8 September with a grand opening ceremony that will see American football wide receiver Jordy Nelson make the ceremonial first wager.

With the retail sportsbook launch, Boyd and FanDuel has expanded their partnership to seven states, including Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. Last month, the two brands partnered to rebrand the Fremont Hotel Casino Sportsbook in Nevada.

With Kansas in the bag, FanDuel’s mobile sportsbook is now live in sixteen states of the US, including Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and several others. Kansas is also the 16th state where the operator would offer its retail sportsbook.

According to the Q2 results published by the betting giant’s parent company, Flutter Entertainment, FanDuel currently has a 51% total market share in the United States.
