PlayCherry Announces Germany’s DSWV Membership
Sports betting operator PlayCherry Limited has become the latest member of the German Sports Betting Association (DSWV).
The German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) was founded in 2014 as an organization of sports betting providers. The union aims to help create regulations for the German betting market while safeguarding it from illegal activities.
By joining DSWV, PlayCherry has further shown its commitment to safe and responsible gambling policies. The operator will work with other members to find solutions to the gambling problems in Germany and develop its sports betting industry. The company currently operates three brands, Sunmaker.de, Comeonwetten.de, and Mobilebet.de, in the jurisdiction.
Germany is a core market for our company, and we are pleased to be part of this relatively young, regulated sports betting market. The DSWV and PlayCherry pursue a common goal, and our membership underlines our efforts to provide customers in Germany with entertaining and, at the same time, secure sports betting products.
PlayCherry’s approval to join DSWV comes after the organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) to protect sports integrity in Germany.
The agreement will see the two associations work together to strengthen the German-regulated market and protect it from “manipulation.” Through joint measures, they will focus on activities aimed at improving the industry for consumers, sports, and betting operators.
With PlayCherry, the DSWV is gaining another member with many years of international experience. Everything in the German gambling industry is currently in a state of upheaval, and sports betting providers are facing major challenges. It is, therefore, all the more important to position ourselves as one and to work together for a well-regulated market.
