Double Ball Roulette is one of the most exciting live casino streams currently on the market. Evolution Gaming popularized this version of the game by introducing it to the online audience in 2016. As the name suggests, an extra ball is added to produce two winning numbers from a single spin. With the help of compressed air, a special mechanism shoots out the spheres while preventing any collisions.

This change is simple enough to be quickly understood, yet it introduces new bets, different odds, and even a “jackpot” with a payout of x1,300 your wager. If you follow our tips and tricks, you’ll learn how to play Double Ball Roulette like a pro in no time. Should you choose to stake real money, you can check our recommendations for the best live online casinos.

Untangling the Rules of Double Ball Roulette

Double Ball Roulette loosely follows European rules. The wheel has a total of 36 black/red numbers, a single zero, and no “La Partage” to return half of the even-money bets if the ball(s) falls on the green. Inside bets are pretty much unchanged from the classic game, so you’re free to place straight-ups, splits, corners, etc.

An outside bet is only considered a winner if both balls land in the appropriate zones. The secondary sphere adds more outcomes, so Evolution’s Double Ball Roulette presents extra wagers to cover them. In addition to the standard set of outside bets, you can put money on black + red and on the chance that two of the balls will rest in the same pocket. The payouts have been altered to compensate for these changes. We’ve covered this topic at length below.

Called Bets and the Jackpot

Once you enter this Evolution Gaming release, you might notice that there is a different racetrack on each side of the layout. The golden one on the left is for placing the special Jackpot straight-up bet. Double Ball Roulette pays 1,300:1 if the two balls land on the number you’ve predicted.

Remember! Don’t use the other betting areas if you wish to compete for the grand prize. A straight-up bet on the right racetrack and standard layout pays 35:1.

A lot of options are present in the bottom-right area. For starters, one can place French/called wagers with a single click. Adjustable neighbor bets are also here, use the “+/-“ buttons, and your selection will be highlighted on the racetrack. Finally, there’s the possibility of crafting custom combinations. Put money on the table, then click on the “Star” icon to save your creation.

How to Play Double Ball Roulette for Beginners

Double Ball Roulette is a live casino game, meaning that you need a casino account with actual funds to play it. However, 888 Casino offers a no-deposit bonus with €/£88 worth of free play for just registering (more details below). Once you’re inside a site that offers Evolution Gaming products, go to the live lobby and look for this title.

After you enter the stream, wait for the next round to begin. Then, select the playing chips from the bottom and put them on the table. The limits differ depending on the operator, but they usually start at €0.20 and go up to at least a couple of thousand. If you read the Double Ball Roulette rules and payout paragraphs carefully, you’ll get a good idea of what bets to place. For even more details, click on the “?” icon when inside the game.

Advanced Settings for Increased Convenience

You might have detected two clusters of buttons at the top and bottom-right corners of the screen. They are capable of enhancing your gameplay, so it’s advisable to check them out once you get used to the basics.

The chat button in the upper bunch will allow you to communicate with the croupier in real time. If your connection is laggy, use the camera icon to shrink the screen. Doing so will also enlarge the betting area and allow for a statistics screen to pop up. The other options here are the audio slider, general settings, and help section.

Double Ball Roulette also allows you to automatically play with the same bet for a set number of spins. Locate the dedicated button next to favorite bets and statistics at the lower right.

With “+ Table,” you can turn the split screen on and play two live games at the same time. If you’re waiting for a spot at another table, use “Lobby” to check for it without exiting this stream.

Where Can You Play Double Ball Roulette for Real Money?

Numerous leading online casinos rely on Evolution Gaming for their innovative roulette variants. However, the exact number of tables can vary, as some of the best roulette sites offer bespoke streams with distinct themes.

For enthusiasts looking for a unique twist, registering at Mr Green is a smart move. This vibrant platform boasts over 180 tables, including some exclusive versions of roulette. Double Ball Roulette stands out as an especially intriguing variant. It introduces an additional ball into the game, doubling the excitement and offering new betting opportunities. Double Ball Roulette RTP and Payouts

Due to the inclusion of a second ball, the payout table of this title is dramatically different from any of the standard versions. Yet thanks to the magic of math, the theoretical Double Ball Roulette RTP is 97.3%. In other words, the return rate here is identical to that of the European iteration and is only surpassed by French roulette.

To paint a clearer picture, let’s look at a few examples. In any regular variant, the payout for a straight-up bet is 35:1. In this version, your chances are doubled, as only one of the two balls is required to land on the zone you’ve bet on. However, instead of the expected 17.5:1 payout, you get slightly lower 17:1 odds. This pattern applies to the rest of the inside bets.

But what happens if both balls land on your inside bet? Well, there was no answer to that question in the Double Ball Roulette rules section, so we had to confirm it with customer support. In that case, the rewards are identical to the standard versions of the game.

Things get even more interesting with outside bets. As we mentioned, both balls need to land in a zone covered by such a wager if you want to get paid. Yet here, the winnings are better than one might think. For example, black/red, odd/even, and other “even money” bets pay 3:1. The full pay table is available below. Take a good look, and decide what’s best for you.

Is There a Winning Strategy for the Live Casino Game?

There are only two rules you need to remember while playing this game. First, establish how much you’re willing to lose, at what profit point can you step away, and stick to those limits. Then, steer clear from the added outside wagers. Aside from that, feel free to play Double Ball Roulette in a way that brings you the most joy.

At the end of the day, the house has an edge over the player in all cases. Good luck is the only thing that can put you on the winning road. Martingale and all other systems have inherent flaws, so don’t treat them as a surefire shortcut to the big bucks.

One interesting tactic with high risk and reward potential is to cover the entire golden wheel with chips of small value. That way, anytime the two balls land in one pocket (38/1 odds per spin), you’ll get the jackpot. A lot of patience and a large enough bankroll are needed to support this gutsy playstyle. Do this at your own peril.

Our advice is to avoid the two new outside bets in Double Ball Roulette. Your chances of getting a black + red result are less than 33%, so the payout should be more than the stated 1:1. The “Two balls on any number” awards 35:1, yet the odds of that happening are 38:1. It’s better to try and make a more precise prediction for a chance to win the coveted 1:1,300 jackpot from the golden racetrack.

Where to Play This and Other Excellent Evolution Games?

Double Ball Roulette isn’t some rare gem exclusive to a single online casino. Most of the top operators in the business use Evolution Gaming’s live dealer lobbies, which include other variations of the most popular games, like Immersive Roulette. This variety gives players a collection of viable alternatives at their disposal.

In our opinion, 888Casino is the perfect place if you’re just starting. You can try this and other awesome games for free thanks to the €88/£88 no-deposit bonus. Furthermore, 888 has branded live tables where you can win extra funds from special promotions. PlayOJO is another great choice, as the site offers real-money cashback for its entire portfolio.

Other Evolution Gaming streams you might want to check out are the side bet-rich Blackjack Infinite and Lightning Dice. For more awesome roulette recommendations, see the below list.
